Procurement Officer

Job Description

Caravan Construction Pvt. Ltd. invites applications for a responsible and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join the company for its procurement activities as per the procurement policy of the company. The selected candidate will liaise with site teams and Head Office to schedule the purchase, ensure competitive pricing, manage documentation, and control costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of construction materials, equipment, tools and office supplies.
• Get and compare quotes from various suppliers before buying.
• Manage suppliers and build good supplier relationships.
• Check purchase requisitions from the site office and department.
• Make sure that purchases are made in accordance with the necessary approvals.
• Plan activities with site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Keep purchase orders, quotations, invoices, and delivery history.
• Track market prices and opportunities to save money.
• Make sure all procurement activities are in compliance with the company's procurement policy.
• Make regular procurement reports to management.

Job Specification

• Business Administration, Management, or related Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years' experience in procurement, ideally in the construction industry.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination abilities.
• A general understanding of construction products and suppliers.
• Proficient with MS Excel and other office programs.
• Honest and organized, a responsibility taker and under pressure.
