Sports Teacher

Job Description

Millsberry International Pre-School is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated Sports Teacher to promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, and overall development among students. The candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting age-appropriate sports activities, physical education classes, indoor and outdoor games, and recreational programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct engaging physical education classes, sports activities, and recreational programs for students.
• Organize age-appropriate indoor and outdoor games to promote physical fitness, coordination, balance, and motor skill development.
• Teach basic sports techniques, rules, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
• Encourage students to actively participate in physical activities and develop healthy lifestyle habits.
• Organize and coordinate sports events, competitions, annual sports days, and extracurricular activities.
• Ensure students' safety during sports sessions, games, and other physical activities.
• Monitor students' physical development, participation, and performance.
• Develop creative and interactive sports activities suitable for different age groups.
• Maintain sports equipment and ensure its proper and safe use.
• Prepare lesson plans and activity schedules according to the school's curriculum.
• Identify students' interests and abilities and encourage their participation in different sports.
• Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment during sports activities.
• Coordinate with class teachers and school management to integrate physical education into students' overall learning and development.
• Provide regular feedback on students' participation and progress.

Job Specification

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous experience as a Sports Teacher or Physical Education Instructor will be an advantage.
• Experience working with preschool and school-level students is preferred.
• Good knowledge of sports, physical education, and recreational activities.
• Strong communication, leadership, and student-management skills.
• Energetic, active, creative, and enthusiastic personality.
• Ability to organize engaging and age-appropriate physical activities.
• Good understanding of child development, physical fitness, and safety practices.
• Strong teamwork, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Patience and the ability to work with students of different age groups.
