Preschool Nurse

Job Description

Millsberry International Pre-School is seeking a caring, responsible, and dedicated Preschool Nurse to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of preschool students. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring children's health, providing basic first aid, maintaining medical records, promoting hygiene practices, and responding to health-related emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the health, hygiene, and overall well-being of preschool students.
• Provide basic first aid and immediate care in case of minor injuries, accidents, or health concerns.
• Monitor children for signs of illness and take appropriate action when required.
• Maintain and update students' health records, medical histories, and emergency contact information.
• Communicate health-related concerns and incidents to parents, teachers, and school management.
• Administer medication as authorized by parents and in accordance with school policies.
• Ensure proper hygiene, sanitation, and safety practices within the preschool environment.
• Conduct regular health and hygiene checks among students.
• Maintain and ensure the availability of first-aid kits, medical supplies, and necessary healthcare materials.
• Coordinate with parents and healthcare professionals when students require further medical attention.
• Promote healthy habits, personal hygiene, nutrition awareness, and basic health education among young children.
• Respond promptly and responsibly to medical emergencies and follow appropriate emergency procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of students' medical information.
• Work closely with teachers and school staff to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.

Job Specification

• Bachelor's Degree or relevant qualification in Nursing.
• Valid nursing council registration and license.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or childcare will be an advantage.
• Caring, patient, friendly, and responsible attitude.
• Strong observation and emergency response skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle young children with care and patience.
• Strong coordination and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school management.
