Duties

The incumbent serves as a dedicated driver for Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). The incumbent operates passenger vehicle to transport MCC staff to various locations within Kathmandu valley and other parts of the country. The incumbent ensures serviceability of the vehicle, maintains logs related to vehicle usages and performs other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years of experience as driver of various types of vehicles is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: A thorough knowledge of Kathmandu and its surrounding areas is required. Experienced in driving in highways outside the Kathmandu valley and unpaved/dirt roads in hilly terrain. A thorough knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations, and the knowledge of various offices and Ministries are also required.

Education Requirements:

Completion of Secondary School is required.

LANGUAGE: Level II (Limited knowledge) speaking/reading/writing English is required. Level III (Good working knowledge) speaking/reading/writing Nepali is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have a valid local driver’s Class B license. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. Basic skills and ability to use MS office computer applications is required.
