We are looking for a Software Developer (CSS) who will work in our close-knit Nepal development team as part of our broader engineering team working from the Hong Kong Zegal office. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced software developer to be part of a team developing a truly innovative and high potential technology service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Hands-on work in detailed design, coding and documentation for our suite of Zegal client side web applications.
  • Work with other team members to perfect UI/UX then integrate and build those designs into our system for eventual production deployment.
  • Ongoing maintenance of components throughout software lifecycle.
  • BAU work such as bug fixing, testing and patching our web applications in relation to style issues.
  • Maintaining our mobile-first philosophy across all our systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills
  • Experience in the coding of client-side Javascript applications with libraries related to such implementations, including CSS/SASS, Webpack, SVG building, etc.
  • Experience with version control (GIT) and continuous integration tools.
  • Expertise in responsive design.
  • Knowledge of fonts and typography in general.
  • Knowledge of front-end CSS frameworks including Material UI, Foundation.
  • Familiarity React and ES6 concepts.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
Languages
  • High level of spoken and written English
Education
  • University degree or equivalent professional apprenticeship
Compensation
Compensation will be very competitive with market, including base salary, and benefits (e.g., stock options, additional leave, and training in our Hong Kong office)
