Chemonics International, a US-based international development consulting firm, seeks application from qualified long-term professionals for the position of Grants and Training Specialist for the five-year, $40 million USAID Early Grade Learning Activity in Nepal. The objective USAID Early Grade Learning (EGL) activity is to strengthen the capacity of federal, provincial, and municipal governments to improve learning outcomes in Grades 1-3. Specifically, EGL aims to (1) build federal, provincial, and local level capacity for delivering EGL services, (2) improve local governments’ ability to provide teacher professional support, coaching, mentorship, and supervision, and (3) support local level governments in improving access to and quality of education services in early grades. As part of its strategy to improve learning outcomes; the USAID Early Grade Learning activity will provide grants to schools to address specific access and quality issues using evidence-based approaches and to help schools put in place the National Early Grade Learning Program (NEGLP) minimum package
