INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) a not for profit global organization of People of Nepali Origin and Nepali Citizens residing outside Nepal was established on 11 October 2003 with the purpose of uniting and bringing together the Nepali Diaspora under one umbrella. The objective of NRNA is to protect and promote the interest of Nepali Diaspora in and outside Nepal, utilize their potentials and resources for the welfare of Nepal and the Nepalese, promote Nepal and Nepali business interests and maintain cordial relation with the outside world.

NRNA has successfully spread its network in 78 countries and territories by establishing its National Coordination Council (NCC).  NRNA regularly organizes many events and programs in Nepal and different parts of the world such as Global Conference, NRN Day, Global Knowledge Convention, Seminar/ Workshop, Meetings and more.

Project Detail:

NRNA has started Global Identity Card Project from year 2017.  With the growing number of NCCs being formed the number of registered NRN members is also increasing.  Currently there are more than 70,000 members associated with NRNA from different countries.  NRNA issues official Identity Card encrypted with a special QR Code to each registered members. NRNA envisions to use the ID privilege pass for its valued members and also encourages members to take maximum benefits in possible ways.

The NRNA is seeking the services of the Interns in Management and Information Technology. The scope of work and requirements are brief here below:

Scope of work For Management Intern:

  • Draft Letters, Proposal, MoU regarding project
  • Prepare database of the potential clients
  • Approach potential clients and convince them to get associated with the project
  • Keep records of the members
  • Fix meeting with the potential client
  • One to One approach and brief about the project
  • Increase maximum number of partners of the project
  • Report to the project or secretariat head daily basis
  • Record keeping of both financial and administrative tasks
  • Content Writing and Generation
  • Handle all the administrative and marketing tasks of the project
  • Apply various marketing strategies to increase membership with the project
  • Coordinate with the IT Trainee and support in designing website of the project
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Coordinator and Secretariat in charge

Scope of Work for IT Intern:

  • Manage the websites of NRNA
  • Data management of the members
  • Update web content
  • Basic designing skills (Photoshop, In Design, illustrator)
  • Prepare technical report of the Project
  • Presentation of the project achievements to the team
  • Day to Day report to the Secretariat/ Project head on the technical aspect
  • Coordinate and take Instruction from the NRNA IT staffs
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Coordinator and Secretariat in charge

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Completed or Ongoing –Information Technology, Computing, Information Management
  • Bachelors Completed or Ongoing – Management, Business Administration with specialization in Marketing or Client Management
  • Working Hours:
  • Minimum – 5 hours (10 AM till 5 PM) or Full time
  • Flexibility for the students currently pursuing their studies

Other Requirement:

  • Should possess two wheeler appropriate driving license
  • Good command of English and Nepali Language (Both spoken and Written)
  • Good Knowledge of Office suite, Power Point and other basic IT tools
  • Report and Proposal writing skills
  • Presentation Skills

Duration:

Initially Two months which could be extended based on the performance of the person concerned.

Work Station:

Secretariat of NRNA located at Baluwatar, Subarna Shumsher Marga.
