The Role
The Influencing coordinator is a part of Programme team, to be managed by the Resilience and Climate justice thematic lead. The team is responsible for supporting partners for proper implementation of projects, incorporating policy influence and feminist principles, and contributing to portfolio development
What we are looking for
The Influencing Coordinator under the leadership of the thematic lead-resilience and climate justice will design, plan, implement and monitor the advocacy and influencing component of the SDHS project in partnership with LIBIRD-the partner for the project. The Influencing Coordinator will build and share evidence to influence governments, private sectors, and peer agencies about SDHS model on farmer’s rights. The incumbent will be responsible for the development of advocacy materials, policy papers and lesson learned documents; integrating methods and approaches to address systemic constraints; facilitating dissemination events and workshops and building advocacy and learning capacity of the implementing partner etc.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in agriculture or related subjects, master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience (3 years of experience for master’s degree or above) on managing, coordinating, or implementing advocacy and influencing programme related to farmer’s rights on agriculture, natural resource management, biodiversity etc.Experience and capability in motivating and training others (both Knowledge and experience on gender, climate change, and feminist approach
- Knowledge and understanding on Nepal’s agricultural research and development systems
- Demonstrable communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills in English and Nepali languages
