Divya Yuva Club (DYC) Parsa is implementing “Empowering a New Generation of Adolescent Girls through Education” (ENGAGE) project through the partnership with Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) Nepal and HI in Dhobini Rural Municipality and Jagarnathpur Rural Municipality of Parsa.  The project formally started from August 2018 with the overall objective of empowering out-of-school girls with disabilities and girls from the most marginalized communities and families of both rural municipalities in parsa district by providing formal, non-formal education, daily living skills and TVET.

The project is conducting 2 Days Gender-Child-Disability responsive Pedagogy Training to teachers of 11 schools: Total 22 teachers will be trained in Parsa. The training is focused on gender, child and disability friendly teaching and learning skills/ strategy pedagogy to improve fearless teaching and learning environment of in and out of class room at school.

DYC Parsa is looking for an experienced consultant to conduct above mentioned training. Interested and experienced consultancy firm and individual from same field are requested to submit application along with the following hardcopy documents or through email to the address and deadline mentioned below:

The consultant is expected to carry out following activities:

The following deliverables are expected from the consultant in due process of the assignment:

  • Develop a content/PPT slides child, gender and disability friendly teaching and learning skills/ strategy – pedagogy along with GESI Concept.
  • Develop a content/PPT slides package which covers concept SRGBV and CRM and its need and impact for students and their learning and drop out of adolescent children.
  • Deliver two-day training session to teachers at district & make action plan.
  • Plan to do Book review of 4 &5 Nepali and Social Books with teachers during the session.
  • Provide a constructive report after delivery of training sessions in English.

Required skill and experience

The training should be led by a professional with degree and work background on gender equality, social inclusion, child protection and disability.

  • Minimum a master’s degree in Gender/Women’s Study/Social Science related fields or Education.
  • At least 5 years experiences on developing and delivering the content on Gender/Protection & Safeguarding/GBV/Disability.
  • Extensive knowledge on child protection& safeguarding, gender, GBV, social inclusion, and related laws and policies
  • Excellent report writing skills in both English and Nepali.
  • Capacity to present the content in clear way to the targeted participants i.e. school teachers of remote areas.

  • Copy of Citizen ship certificate and other relevant certificates.
