Job Description

Sales Executive is responsible position of the company who manages overall sales activities to him/her. His/her basic job is to ensure to meet the given target, complete assigned task complying the policies, guidelines, circulars and instructions given by respective department. His/hers duties include assisting internal and external customers, and providing excellent customer service. Sales Executive is authorized to work on behalf of the company and will be accountable if any task is not performed as per the standard norms, policies, and guidelines of the company.

 Responsibilities:

Sales, Agency Service and Customer Service:

  • Ensure attainment of budgeted objectives in terms of first year and renewal premium production and agency manpower build-up in branch/sub-branch
  • Recruit, Select, Train, Develop, Update, Supervise & Retain agency team providing them necessary support, direction and motivation to achieve the business objective and maintaining the professional agency team
  • Coach & develop agencies to achieve their objectives and career development through systematic training, motivation and joint field work.
  • Conduct meeting with agency team on regular basis motivating for new business, informing about new schemes, developments, product’s benefit/terms & condition/exclusions, compliances, guidelines, directions given by respective departments.
  • Keep records of business figures and other activities and report to line manager systematically.
  • Ensure that customer/policyholders get prompt and excellent service which includes:
  1. Proper counselling and briefing regarding insurance plans.
  2. Promptness and perfection while proposal processing, policy document delivery, policy loan/surrender processing and other claims processing.
  3. Reminding and follow up with policyholders to renew their policy for continuation of insurance coverage.
  4. Dealing with customers and handling their queries and grievances very professionally.
  5. Maintain the business quality and persistency to meet the company’s customer service standard.

Operation, Monitoring and Supervision Functions:

  • Approval of Insurance Proposals up to assigned authority limit following underwriting guideline and instructions
  • Signing in Policy Documents with proper verifications
  • Proper investigation and reporting during death/disability and CI claim processing
  • Perform other assigned duties related to Underwriting, Policy Servicing, Agency Service, IT, Claim, Finance, HR/ Admin and Corporate Solutions following the guidelines and instructions given by respective department

Other Functions:

  • Support to fulfill the requirement of all functional departments of Head office as assigned
  • Maintain all the times high standards of conduct and behaviour with positive attitude
  • Follow instructions as given by respective departments and as mentioned in the provided guidelines
  • All other activities required to achieve the overall target of the branch/sub-branch
