Summary:
The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Security Investigator (Senior Foreign Service National Investigator) . This vacancy is open to all interested applicants.

The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties
The Senior Foreign Service National Investigator (S/FSNI) provides oversight on background investigations of local staff and contractors, as well as other types of investigations. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining contacts with local police and other host government security entities. The incumbent manages the local staff security briefing program and other RSO programs and initiatives. As and when needed, the incumbent travels to different cities in the country to coordinate with local authorities to facilitate VIP travels.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five years of law enforcement, military, private security, or investigative work experience is required

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Working knowledge of documentary sources of information and familiarity with local and regional laws regarding various documentation process is required.

Education Requirements:
Two years of university studies in general coursework is required.

Evaluations: These may be tested (Language, Skills and Abilities)

LANGUAGE: Fluent speaking/reading/writing English is required. Fluent speaking/reading/writing Nepali is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Valid local Class B driving license is required. Ability to maintain extensive contacts at all levels within the host country law enforcement and security agencies is required. Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is required.
