Bheri Environmental Excellence Group (BEE-Group) is an autonomous, independent, non-partisan, and non-governmental organization. It was established in 2000 AD, registered in District Administration Office, Banke and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council, Kathmandu. BEE-Group has been doing collaborative advocacy for the protection and promotion of human rights, establishment of social justice, gender equality, social inclusion and environmental conservation, and safer community development through empowerment and mobilization for meaningful participation and networking since its establishment in the Lumbini and Karnali Province of Nepal with building a trustworthy reputation.

BEE-Group has been implementing a project, namely Telethon; Child Not Bride in Geruwa Rural Municipality, Thakurbaba Municipality, Madhuban Municipality, and Barabardiya Municipality of Bardiya district in partnership with Plan International Nepal. The project aims to strengthen the system and mechanism for child protection to present child early and forced marriages. Under this project, BEE-Group is seeking qualified, experienced, and self-motivated staff for the mentioned project.

Position: Technical Coordinator (Education) – One

Duty Station: Based at the field office, Bardiya, and frequently visit the project area

Job Summary: The technical coordinator will perform to provide leadership in the education theme. The coordinator will directly report to the project manager. The primary duty is designing the project activities, budgeting, planning, and implementation, and monitoring and reporting regarding the education theme. Facilitate the local government and civil society organizations for strengthening the system for quality education making a child-friendly environment with a child protection safety culture for girls and young women and promoting and protecting child rights and preventing child early and forced marriage. The technical coordinator will also be responsible for strengthening the capacity of stakeholders in the formulation of the required policy and plan and its implementation for better education and a safe environment for child girls and young women.

Key responsibility:

  • Ensuring that the adequate understanding of the project plan and approaches by staff and stakeholders and providing necessary technical guidance to them for quality education and making a child-friendly environment.
  • Timely and quality delivery of the project activities including the training, workshop, and support to the targeted individuals and stakeholders.
  • Planning and implementation of project activities ensuring the quality bench benchmark and proper monitoring.
  • Support the admin and finance officer and ensure proper management of financial transactions referring to the appropriate budget heads and compliance.
  • Support to the monitoring, evaluation, reporting, learning, and documentation officer in documentation, generation of appropriate knowledge product and management as per the project plan, and reporting to the partner organization and donor agency according to the agreed standards, and timely manner.
  • Assess the Menstrual Hygiene Management requirement of the project schools in coordination with the Technical Coordinator Lead and Decide and plan for the necessary intervention based on the available resources in the project.
  • Work closely with the local government, and civil society organizations and ensure the highest level of coordination for the smooth implementation of project interventions, and advocacy for reviewing and updating education-related policies and plans and implementing these appropriately.
  • Facilitate School Management Committees and Parent Teacher Associations meetings for formulating their Child protection policies and guidelines and execute them by establishing the functional complaints handling mechanism at schools,
  • Coordinate with the respective Palika and facilitate identifying the out-of-school children, and facilitate bringing them back to school, by making appropriate guidelines and conducting the Accelerate Learning Classes.
  • Facilitate and follow up with the project school to ensure that the inclusion of children with a disability has been ensured.
  • Support and facilitate the field team in collecting the project progress, achievements, challenges, and opportunities and reporting to the partner organization regularly.
  • Support and play the role of establishing the congenial reflective learning environment within a project team, organization, and functionalization of effective teamwork.

Competencies and personal specification:

  • Proven skill and knowledge about promoting quality education, a safer school environment, child protection mechanism at school, and conceptual solid, and interpersonal communication, negotiation, facilitation, and representation skills with working experiences in areas of education for preventing child early and forced marriage.
  • Proven knowledge, skills, and experiences for facilitating the formulation of policies and plans for quality education at schools building relationships and working in partnership with local government, and civil society organizations, and maintaining a congenial working relationship with all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skills in team building with an ability to coach and mentor the project team.
  • Proven knowledge and skills in program planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Proven experiences in working with diverse communities, cultures, and the ability to cope with stress and decision-making with appropriate communication.
  • Good command of English and Nepali both written and spoken with MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Education with at least three years of relevant work experience. The candidate should be well familiar with and committed to promoting and protecting child rights, and women’s rights, and preventing child early and forced marriage. The candidate must have a valid motorbike/scooter license and be willing to travel in the community frequently.


Position: Technical Coordinator (Lead and Decide – SRHR) – One

Duty Station: Based at field office, Bardiya and frequently visit the project area.

Job Summary: The technical coordinator will be overall responsible for playing a vital role in agency development and strengthening their capacity for informed decision-making regarding comprehensive sexuality education and Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights. The coordinator will directly report to the project manager and partner organization. The major duty includes; designing the project activities, budgeting and implementation, monitoring and reporting youth empowerment, and SRHR-related activities. In addition to this, the coordinator will facilitate the Champions of Changes (COCs) local government and civil society organization (CSO) for strengthening the existing system and mechanisms related to sexual and reproductive health rights. The coordinator will work closely with the local government and civil society organizations, and provide support to them in the establishment of adequate facilities and resources for adolescents girls and boys about comprehensive sexual reproductive and health rights ensuring safety culture for girls and young women, and promotion and protection of child rights and preventing the child early and forced marriage.

Key responsibility:

  • Ensuring that the adequate understanding of the project plan and approaches by staff and stakeholders and providing necessary technical guidance to them for the establishment of strong service delivery mechanisms and resources regarding sexual and reproductive health rights with adequate facilities and sustainable functionality.
  • Coordinate with schools and local government to identify the focal teacher for comprehensive sexuality education (CSE), facilitate the training, and ensure that the trained teachers have adequately and appropriately rolled out the trainings to the students in their respective schools.
  • Formulate Champion of Change (COC) groups and ensure that the COC classes are properly implemented in the community incorporating both school-going and out of school children,
  • Facilitate COC members to develop their annual plan and support them to carry out it.
  • Likewise, develop some relevant extra-curricular activities mostly related to the project objective and encourage COC members to implement these extra-curricular activities.
  • Develop COC as the movement and encourage the participants to reach every household with SRHR-related information.
  • Carry out dialogue with religious leaders, parents, adolescents, and youths on SRHR issues and how child and early marriage affect sexual, and reproductive health.
  • Advocate with schools, local health facilities and local government to establish Adolescent friendly health service and develop local curriculum on SRHR.
  • Timely and quality delivery of the project activities including the training, workshop, and support to the targeted individuals and stakeholders.
  • Planning and implementation of project activities ensuring quality benchmarks the monitoring properly.
  • Support and facilitate the finance officer and ensure proper management of financial transactions referring to budget heads and compliance.
