We believe CloudFactory Academy is the key to doing just that, and we’re looking for an exceptional Senior Videographer to join our team and help produce various types of world-class leadership and learning development content.

As a Senior Videographer within the L&D team, you will be working inside our “in-house agency” built up of video, graphics, learning content developers to deliver creative assets that engage our target audience and develop an emotional connection with them. You will be working closely with a team of creators to develop innovative learning solutions/ campaigns that will be used across our business.

You will take ownership and accountability for filming and animation which can be used on various platforms across the business. You will film content whilst working to the Brand vision and style throughout the shoot. You will make video concepts come to life, through exceptional skills in lighting, camera work and model direction. You will be working on various types of deliverables, comfortable working under pressure working to short deadlines, particularly across multiple countries.

You are a confident self-starter with a high level of attention to detail and the passion to exercise some creative flare. You have a creative eye when it comes to capturing content and ability to interpret briefs, continually providing expert opinion to improve the quality of multimedia content being produced by CFA.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing Creative concept of film productions in line with the brief, sourcing references, creating and designing the treatment and storyboard in line with CFA brand, working independently or collaboratively to establish the best creative approach – within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Establish a strong working relationship with the Creative Team as well as the wider L&D team to deliver the best-in-class output.
  • Enthusiastically work alongside the L&D team, reflecting and respecting the agile business model.
  • Create ideas and film concepts (often in fast turnarounds) that are sensitive to logistics and budget – while also able to ‘think big’ and outside the box for bigger budget productions.
  • Partake in location recces while being responsible for collecting the most relevant materials (ie taking photographs on site) to include in pre-production documents and creative treatments.
  • Responsible for conducting interviews on set with subjects from varied industries (including ‘real people’) to produce voice over dialogue for films.
  • Responsible for developing narratives, researching subjects, undertaking pre-production conversations with the subject to devise relevant interview questions prior to shoot.
  • Confidently and respectfully direct talent, while also directing the team on set – ensuring all are aligned on the creative brief and the required content is being captured.
  • Competently set-up and operate all equipment, sound recording equipment, gimbals/support system and sliders, and lighting on shoots.
  • Responsible for making creative and technical suggestions regarding lighting, shot selection, camera operation and post production.
  • Regular reporting to the Creative Delivery Manager to update on workflow pipelines to ensure films are delivered on time, on brief, and to the highest creative output.
  • Creating, Curating and Editing graphics and title animation and associated assets.
  • Applying a variety of animation skills – 2D, 3D and mixed media to specific multimedia output.
  • Assist in the maintenance and updating of an active content production schedule.
  • Potentially collaborate with external designers and content creators when needed.
  • Responsible for being at the forefront of online video trends, technologies and techniques; sourcing and presenting new films, content, ideas or technical gear to inspire the team.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience directing, filming and editing, including knowledge of video camera operation and techniques, editing a diverse range of film styles – either within an agency, commercial production company, or in-house creative services department.
  • BA/BS in Video Production, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with others to achieve goals.
  • Excellent working knowledge and significant experience using cameras like Arri/Red/Black Magic but also using iPhones and mobile devices.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite programs, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Proficient in Colour grading, final quality control and exporting files in proper format.
  • 3D Animation and Motion Graphics skills using Maxon Cinema 4D or alternative softwares.

  • A deep understanding of how people consume, share, and engage with digital content as well as having a strong sense of narrative/storytelling.
  • Ensure our video production is kept “in-fashion” and we are using the most up to date techniques and trends for lighting, angles, set design etc. always keeping within but being innovative within CFA’s brand guidelines.
  • Have a strong eye and understanding of what looks good, but also what will create the most engagement on the channel, always ensuring the content is on-brand.
  • Great attention to detail. You’ll be working autonomously sharing content, therefore accuracy every time is essential.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and are able to compromise without impacting the work.
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional time management and organisation skills. Able to prioritise and adapt, multi-task effectively, juggle numerous projects and switch planning where required due to the reactive nature of the business.
  • Action oriented and willingness to learn within a team. Team player.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills – able to communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels, including conducting interviews on set.
  • Holds a current driver’s license and can travel autonomously with full time access to a car.
  • Be available for shoots and events outside of normal business hours, including holiday periods and some public holidays, where required.
  • Comfortable traveling both domestically and internationally, sometimes with minimal notice.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated, flexible, customer-centric, and professional.
  • A track record of producing professional, premium creative videos/ strong portfolio/showreel that demonstrates creative and conceptual thinking.
