Aasaman Nepal (ASN) ‘A pioneer organization for education and nutrition’, is one of the leading Terai based NGOs led and managed by social activists since its establishment in Dhanusha, Janakpur in 1999. ASN has been engaged in developing and implementing programs aimed at protection, promotion and fulfillment of child rights in Nepal. Currently ASN has been working in 10 districts under 6 Thematic Areas as: Education/Child Protection, Women Empowerment, Livelihood/ Natural Resource Management, Disaster Risk Reduction, Health/ Nutrition and Good Governance.
ASN is implementing Aarambha [Girls Education Challenge (GEC)-Leave No Girl behind (LNGB)] Project supported by People in Need (PIN Nepal), with the financial aid of DFID in Bara and Rauthat district and invites applications from dedicated and qualified Nepali citizens for the following post based in Chandranigahapur, Rautahat of Province 2.
Position: Technical Coordinator

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Take lead role in assuring quality of project implementation, monitoring and management of output 1 and 4 of the project (Improved access to numeracy and literacy courses of Married out of School Adolescent girls) in joint support of Program Manager and key staffs.
• Provide technical support to the program education officers, social mobilizers, female facilitators and other staffs to carry out quality of deliverables including reporting and recording.
• Technical support in facilitation and organization of training, workshop and events.
• Oversee all aspects of program quality by strengthening the project’s MEAL system.
• Ensure the quality of monthly and quarterly reports submitted by the districts.
• Review and do preliminary analysis of the data reported by districts, perform cross-verification and data quality audits, if necessary.
• Oversee the remote monitoring of project activities with pre-developed Quality Standard Checklists, develop/review monitoring checklists, wherever necessary.
• Identify gaps on the capacity of DM&E and district based officers on Data management and analysis and quality monitoring process and strengthen their capacity in the same.
• Assist the project team to develop project M&E plan
• Carry out follow-up monitoring visits to materialize action agreed in action plan and maintain ‘ Monitoring-Action Plan Tracker’ at field level.
• Lead in preparing MEAL reports and other project related documents and reports, ensuring their quality standard.
• Ensure that all the data related to MEAL action Plan tracker & CRM database are updated and archived in appropriate place, in a timely manner.
• Work in close communication between Safeguarding Focal Person and MEAL team of project implementing team (both donor as well as implementing partners).
• Conduct in a manner that is consistent with the values and principles of the Aasaman Nepal and maintain highest professional standard as per GEC’s minimum standard.
• Follow the code of conduct of Aasaman Nepal inside and outside the work place.
• Candidate must fully understand and agree to abide by the safeguarding principles with regards to children and adults they come in contact through their work.

• Other relevant duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
Essential Qualifications and Competencies:
• Bachelors’ degree in education,, Statistics, Development Studies, M&E, or related Social Sciences with minimum 5 years of relevant experience or Master’s with minimum 3 years relevant experience
• Good communication and coordination and networking skills.
• An excellent computer skill on Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Office Word, remote data collection applications and data visualization.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Nepali and English
• Added value for fluency of local language like Bhojpuri and Bajika
• Availability to travel may be required up to 75%.
• Prior experience in training facilitation would be an asset.
• Women from Province 2 are highly encouraged to apply.
Age Limit: Candidate between 21 years – 45 years are only eligible to apply for the above mentioned post.
Duration: Fixed term till July 2023 (Annual contract basis with three months’ probation period)
For the above mentioned posts, successful candidates will be appointed for one year with possibility of extension.
Selected candidates must adherence to Aasaman Nepal’s internal policies and procedures, protocols, Code of conduct with special attention to Child Protection Policies and Do No Harm approach including funding agency’s policies, guidelines and agreements.
