ADRA Nepal is seeking an experienced and competent professional to work in the following positions and invites application from the interested candidates for these two senior positions.
Position: Finance & Administration Director (Kathmandu based with frequent field travel): One.
The Finance & Administration Director is responsible to ensure ADRA Nepal’s finance and administration functions are managed strategically and thoroughly, supporting the agency and its programs. The Finance and Administration Director works with the Country Director and senior leadership to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures in program implementation.
Qualification and Competencies:
Masters or equivalent in accounting or Finance is required. CA/ACCA an added advantage; more than 8 years of experience in senior level with financial and administrative management in a non-profit organization; understanding of international accounting and finance management standards; INGO/NGO accounting practices, donor regulations and systems; ability to organize a team of Finance staff and Administration staff and coordinate with other departments and Program Director in relation to financial management of ADRA Nepal and projects; excellent in use of Microsoft Office Application; experience with accounting software especially Sun System (added advantage); sound Knowledge on applicable Tax and VAT rules and regulations in Nepal; strong interpersonal communication and coordination skill; fluency in written and spoken Nepali and English.
Position: Program Director (Kathmandu based with frequent field travel)- One
The Program Director is responsible for strategic oversight and implementation of the country offices programmatic plan. The Program Director works with the Country Director and senior leadership to develop project opportunities and ensure they align the strategic plan, ADRA network priorities and the community needs of the country. This position will be directly responsible for the Livelihood component while providing strategic oversight to other programs implemented by ADRA Nepal.
Qualification and Competencies:
At least masters’ degree in agriculture or equivalent; at least 10 years of professional experience in senior level management in development organizations preferably with INGOs; demonstrated track record of conceptualizing projects and developing proposals for a wide range of donor agencies; a broad knowledge of development issues within Nepal including experience designing and implementing Health, Livelihood, DRM projects; comprehensive technical knowledge in sub-sectors within livelihood theme, especially agriculture, rural economy, climate change adaptation, market access etc.; good negotiation, coordination, and communication skills ; excellent verbal and writing skill English and Nepali languages; good organization, analytical and planning skills ; ability to lead concept note and proposal writing process including high level of competency in structuring ideas clearly in logical framework and theory of change.
