VACANCY NOTICE:
The British Council is inviting applications for the following positions for its SSDP-TA Project based in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur. Please access the link below and apply if you meet the requirements.

Positions:
1. Institutional and Capacity development Specialist (International)
Role overview
The position will support TL/DTL and National Education Capacity Development Expert by providing inputs and expertise on international good practices related to capacity development in the federal education service delivery context. Some key tasks will include:
> Provide input / advise on institutional and capacity development in the context of school education on the federal context for SSDP implementation and reporting.
> Provide input/ advice for the next generation school sector plan, if required.
> Support National capacity development expert for finalizing LG training programme and development and implementation of other LG capacity building activities.
> Support for the development of concept note for twinning programme.
> Support in the research study on SWAp adaptation

Qualifications required to apply for this post are:
> Master’s degree in Education, HRD, or other relevant social science.
> 7 years of experience in working in institutional capacity building areas in countries going through major sector restructuring.
> Experience in education service delivery in the federalization context.
> Familiarity with Nepali education sector would be an advantage.

2. Education Sector Governance and Capacity Development Expert (National)
Role overview
The position will support by providing expert inputs to the TA team on the design and implementation of capacity development activities at a federal, provincial, and local level. Some of the key tasks will include:.
> Provide inputs related to education sector capacity issues in SSDP reporting.
> Support in designing and implementing capacity building workshops on immediate training needs identified by CIA/CIDP.
> Provide inputs in SSDP Knowledge Management related activities.
> Support TL / DTL on finalizing LG training package, provide inputs in ToT and technically support LG training lead resource person.
> Support CEHRD in developing and implementing follow-up capacity development programmes.
> Support in the SWAp adaptation study.

Qualifications required to apply for this post are:
> Master’s degree in Education, HRD, or other relevant social science.
> 7 Years’ experience in education sector capacity development.
> Familiarity with SSDP and decentralized education service delivery.

3. Examination Expert (International)
Role overview
The international Expert will only provide input for capacity building on item writing and conceptualizing item banking. Specific tasks will include:
> Develop a concept note on establishing an item bank including item banking practice in some of the countries.
> Scoping of major tasks for item banking.
> Prepare a tentative budget for establishing item bank and training package.
> Facilitate familiarization workshops on item banking.

Qualifications required to apply for this post are:
> Master’s degree in education or related field.
> 7 years’ experience in assessment and examination including in item writing.

4. Education Equity Expert (National)
Role overview
The expert will provide support on SSDP equity-related inputs under SSDP implementation support. The key task includes:
> Prepare, participate and provide inputs in Equity related DLI / PRF meetings and workshops.
> Provide inputs related to education sector equity issues in SSDP reporting.

Qualifications required to apply for this post are:
> Master’s degree in a relevant field.
> 7 years’ experience in GESI in the education sector.
> Familiarity with SSDP Equity element.

5. Events Coordinator (National)
Role overview
The Events Coordinator will be a junior administrative position to provide logistics support in organizing events such as Study tours, National conferences and seminars.

Qualifications required to apply for this post are:
> Two years’ experience in providing logistics and administrative support in development projects.
