Role overview
About the Project
British Council has been supporting the Ministry of Education Science and Technology (MoEST) in several areas for school education sector development. One of the areas jointly identified by the British Council and MOEST / Center for Education and Human Resources Development (CEHRD) for engagement in school leadership. Building on the previous work in the field of school leadership, British Council is looking to support policy discussions and capacity building on the need for school leadership and support developing a draft head teachers competency framework for the Government of Nepal (GoN).
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must fulfil the following criteria to be eligible for selection under this programme:
- Good understanding of school leadership context in Nepal.
- Good understanding of education systems in developing countries, preferably Nepal and/or South Asia.
- Experience working with the Government of Nepal in the education sector as a consultant or senior official.
- Proven experience in developing education plans and policies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and experience in engaging with a range of external actors, including interacting with international consultants.
- Experience in conducting school leadership research in South Asia is preferable
