WHO WE ARE
Founded in 2004, Build Change is an innovative international non‐profit social enterprise whose mission is to save lives in earthquakes and hurricanes. We do that by designing disaster-resistant houses and schools; training homeowners, builders, engineers and government officials to build them; working with governments to develop and implement building standards; partnering with the private sector to improve building materials quality and create jobs; and facilitating access to incentive-based capital for reconstruction and retrofitting by partnering with financing institutions and government subsidy programs.

YOUR NEW OPPORTUNITY
Construction supervision is a critical task for retrofitting, as it ensures that seismic resistant elements are being built properly. Considering the high volume of buildings that need an intervention and the cost of high skilled labor to perform supervision, Build Change has envisioned a digitized solution for automated quality assurance. ISAC (Intelligent Supervision Assistant for Construction) will be a mobile app with backend tool that performs quality control on particular construction activities through photos taken on site. As Full Stack Developer, you will develop Django backend with flask/ Django API which integrate with mobile app to complete the system.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop of frontend and backend system with Django
• Write different REST API for mobile interaction
• Write Flask/Djang api to interaction with different AI Models
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Design and implement of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Integration of data storage solutions
• Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation
Working Hours:
Build Change’s official work week in the Colombia office is 40 hours, Monday through Friday. You are expected to work a minimum of forty (40) hours per week Monday through Friday; however, given the project circumstances, you should expect to work in excess of forty (40) hours per week and on some weekends. Occasional travel within Colombia may be required.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Full Stack Development Experience.
• Python / Flask Framework Experience.
• Automation Experience.
• JavaScript / Typescript.
• RESTful API Experience.
• Version control (GIT) Experience.
• Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills
• CI-CD Pipeline Experience. (preferable)
• Machine Learning / AI Experience. (preferable)
• Experience deploying applications to containers (preferable)
