Responsibilities
- Manages all databases required for development, testing, and production.
- Install/ backup/restore and recover the databases
- Database upgrade and data migration
- Maintaining and enhancing the performance of existing database programs.
- Query optimization and performance tuning
- Generate the complex automated/manual report
- Working closely with the Development team to design and development of databases
- Write, review and refine database queries
- Database system monitoring and troubleshooting
- Adhering to best practices in securely storing, backing up, and archiving data.
- Documenting processes related to database design, configuration, and performance.
- Keeping abreast of developments and best practices in database engineering.
Requirement
BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
3+ years of Software Industry DB experience
- Strong knowledge of Relational Database Management systems especially MySQL & PostgreSQL.
- Experience in managing high-volume databases.
- Strong experience in database upgrades, backup, recovery, and migration.
- Experience with query optimization & performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of replication and disaster recovery techniques
