Description
DAI seeks candidates for an anticipated USAID funded Jal Jangal (Freshwater and Forests) Activity in Nepal. This program will focus on the following areas: environmental governance, forestry, terrestrial and freshwater biodiversity, environmental crime, wildlife trafficking, protected area management, and environmental and social safeguards for infrastructure development. Positions will be based in Kathmandu and key target geographies.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in International Development, Natural Resource Management, Water Management, Economics, Public Policy, Climate Change, Environmental Science, Forestry, or other relevant field.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience working on donor-funded activities in the international development field; prior experience on USAID funded a plus.
- Experience and technical expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Forestry
- Wildlife Protection
- Protected Area Management
- Conservation Finance
- Green Growth
- Biodiversity Conservation
- Environmental Governance
- Environmental and social safeguards
- Climate change adaptation
