Job Description:
As an SAT Teacher/Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive SAT preparation classes and individual tutoring sessions to students seeking to improve their scores. Your primary role will be to provide instruction, guidance, and support in various subject areas covered by the SAT exam, including mathematics, critical reading, and writing.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive SAT preparation classes to small groups of students.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans and teaching materials tailored to students’ individual needs.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring and personalized guidance to students to improve their SAT scores.
- Assist students in understanding the structure and content of the SAT exam.
- Teach test-taking strategies, time management skills, and techniques to improve performance.
- Administer practice tests and evaluate students’ progress through ongoing assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback and help students identify areas for improvement.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance curriculum materials.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in the SAT exam and incorporate relevant updates into instructional practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum score of 1400 on the SAT exam.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in SAT preparation or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the SAT exam structure, content, and scoring criteria.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for education and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
