Hilly Region Development Campaign (HRDC), Jajarkot isa non-profit making, non-religious, non-political and non-governmental organization.The main working area of this organization is mid-western development region of Nepal with the possibility of extension all over the country. The major guiding principles of this organization are equity, quality services, good governance, transparency, inclusion and justice. Working as sustainable development facilitator and advocates are the major thrusts of this organization.

Hilly Region Development Campaign (HRDC), Jajarkot has been implementing the PAHAL Program, funded by the US Agency for International Development’s Office of Food for Peace (FfP), is a five-year program that seeks to strengthen livelihoods, improve nutritional status and increase the capacity of vulnerable households to mitigate, adapt to and recover from shocks and stresses in communitieswith deep poverty and high rates of malnutrition in critical zones of the Jajarkot district like other PAHAL working districts of Nepal.

HRDC Jajarkot invites applications from the interested and eligible candidates (Nepali Citizens only) who are reliable, accountable, have the ability to deliver results with the highest level of integrity for the following position:

POSITION: Finance Officer -One (1)

LOCATION: PAHAL District Office, Jajarkot

REPORTS TO:  Programme Coordinator (PC)

SUPERVISION: None

JOB PURPOSE:

To ensure functional, effective & efficient accounting & financial system and timely preparation and submission of reports to donor. This position holder will be working closely with organization’s Finance and Program Team to run the smooth operations of accounting management.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare vouchers; ensure proper budget coding, cheque writing and submission for approval
  • Timely payments of vendor’s bills and settlement of advance, liabilities and receivables etc. and reconcile periodically.
  • Responsible for annual remuneration tax assessment, monthly pay roll, retirement fund and TDS management.  Work closely with Finance & Admin coordinator for this job.
  • Ensure the financial management system is in accordance with Donor’s & HO guidelines, International & National Accounting Standards.
  • Data entry into the accounting software and generate reports as required.
  • Produce / compile financial report as required.
  • Monitor petty cashandManage all bank transactions
  • Preparation for internal, external and project audit.
  • Day to day support to staffs members on financial management.
  • Prepare statement of VAT receivable and process for VAT refund

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:

Education: Bachelor degree in accounting or business management

Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles and responsibilities

Skills: Skills on FAMAS, Excellent Computer Skills, and Experience with accounting and internal control procedures, Time management, Team Player, Program Understanding and English language.
