Position: Disability Inclusion Adviser
The Disability and Inclusion Adviser will be responsible for the Physical Rehabilitation Program in Nepal and work in close collaboration and cooperation with the ICRC’s Regional Physical Rehabilitation Program Manager based in Laos.
S/he will have the following responsibilities.
Main responsibilities and tasks:
— Manage the ICRC Physical Rehabilitation Program in Nepal
— Closely monitor the ICRC Physical Rehabilitation Program with partner organisations
— Provide necessary administrative and logistic support to partner organisations in relation to the ICRC program
— Identify gaps in services provided by partners and propose necessary measures to fulfil gaps
— Identify different training needs for the staff of partner organisations and look for the opportunity to train them
— Closely work with partner organisations on statistics, financial greenlights, reimbursements of services and problem solving
— Liaise with Government and non-government institutions to be part of the development of the physical rehabilitation sector in Nepal
— Establish linkage and facilitate collaboration among ICRC partners, other rehabilitation centres, government and non-government institutions
— Liaise with sports clubs of persons with disabilities to promote inclusion through sports activities
Required qualification and experience:
— Bachelor’s in public health with Diploma in Physiotherapy
— Minimum three years of working experience in a physical rehabilitation centre
— Good interpersonal skills and willingness to travel
— Good command of written and spoken English language
