Associate DevOps Engineer
We are looking for a self-motivated candidate with the following experience in DevOps-related activities.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant and progressive work experience in DevOps or System Administration
- Having worked in a company with a large customer base and high traffic workloads
Job Requirements
- Good understanding of DevOps principles.
- Experience in any one of the CICD tools.
- Experience in GITSCM for version control
- Experience with monitoring and logging stacks (Grafana/Prometheus, Zabbix, and ELK)
- Experience in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Swarm, Kubernetes)
- Experience with scripting languages(Bash, Python)
- Experience in Configuration Management(CM) and Infrastructure as Code(IaC) tools (Ansible, Terraform)
- Experience in cloud services (AWS, GCP)
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (Routing, Switching, VPN)
- Knowledge of Virtualization.
- Basic knowledge of web vulnerabilities and security.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to source information from users, vendors, and colleagues and deliver it to the required audience.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and build automated DevOps processes and procedures.
- Work with a team of System Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Developers to monitor the existing system infrastructure, backbone network, application delivery network, applications, and services. Configure logging and alerting system.
- Automate the jobs and tasks using scripting languages and configuration tools.
- Research on DevOps tools and new technologies
- Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Setup DevOps tools and the infrastructure required for such tools and applications
- Collaborate with engineers on monitoring & debugging solutions.
- Respond to incidents, ensuring the restoration of services when required.
- Document changes, upgrades, maintenance, and procedures.
