KOSHISH is a nongovernmental organization, as a national self-help organization it is working in the field of mental health and psychosocial wellbeing in Nepal. The word “KOSHISH” means “making an effort”. KOSHISH works in a twin-track approach; advocacy and service delivery. Since 2008, advocacy for inclusion and dignity of people with mental health and psychosocial issues and transforming lives of people living in vulnerable conditions has been at the forefront of KOSHISH’s goals with UNCRPD, 2006 at its core.

Other Specification
- Good understanding of the prevalent human rights-based approach and familiarity with the core International Human Rights Treaties and Disability related policies and documents including the United Nation Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
- Preference will be given to candidates who have understanding of or experience of working with public health issues and particularly in cross disabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation & public relation skills in both English and Nepali
- Able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and in a team for bringing the concrete results
- Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of the projects
- Well-versed in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel etc.
- Empathetic, Energetic with receptive learning attitude

Job Description
- Conduct in-depth analysis of programs, policies, regulations and laws related with mental health and psychosocial disability and design the analytical and logical output.
- Communication and lobbying with high level government authorities and concerned stakeholders in the semi-government and private domain.
- To make linkages among related stakeholders to accelerate avenues and synergies for the cause
- Follow up on the commitments from high level government authorities and other concerned stakeholders
- Field visit in the existing target area of the KOSHISH and collect evidences that will maintain both content and local context
- Organize workshops/seminars and maintain timely follow up for the implementation of the commitments from duty bearers
- To work on de-stigmatization and sensitization through media mobilization
- Support to develop Information Education and Communication materials
- Prepare annual, semi-annual, periodic and event reports

- Salary for the above said position: Negotiable as per competence and experience
- Job Description might be upgraded based on organizational and project requirements
