Job Summary
Trainee-Program will assist APoC Kathmandu Sub Unit for timely and effective completion comprehensive needs assessment (CAN) under the overall guidance of APoCKTM Sun Unit Lead and direct supervision of PO-Enterprise and Employment. In addition to this the Trainee-Program will also work closely with PO-Data Management for effective record keeping, documenting and for analysis of data collected.
General:
- Familiarize with human rights guaranteed by Nepal constitutions, laws and bylaws and international legal instruments (conventions and covenants and guiding principles)
- Familiarize and work in accordance with the Vision, Mission, Values, Principles, and Objectives of LWF Nepal as Humanitarian and Development Organization.
- Familiarize with and obey UNHCR Policy on Protection of Personal Data of Persons of Concerns.
- Be free from the political influence of any parties and the political activities.
- Strictly abide by the LWF Nepal Code of Conduct, PSEA, Child Protection Policy, Complaint Response Mechanismand other LWF policies and guidelines.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Assist to prepare plan for the Comprehensive Need Assessment (CNA) and take lead to coordinate with PoCs for scheduling for CAN interview
- Assist the APoC sub-unit KTM sectorleads to conduct CNA and data collection of PoCs in designated template
- Maintain regular contact with refugee individuals and families and conduct CNA on a regular basis.
- Maintain proper recording of information collected (hard and soft copy).
- Maintain collected information in excel file for individual households.
- Assist PO-Data Management and other officials in tabulating and analyzing data.
- Carry out other tasks as assigned by the APoC KTM Sub Unit Lead and LWF Management.
Qualifications and competencies:
- Minimum educational qualification required for the position is Bachelors level.
- Mobility for riding motorbike/scooter and hold a valid driving license for same.
- Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft office/Excel
- Communication skills in English and Hindi language is mandatory
- Empathy towards displaced people
Remuneration:
Remuneration will be paid as per LWF policy
