VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Mahuli Community Development Center (MCDC) is a non-governmental organization working in Saptari district since 1994. Currently, MCDC is implementing the project titled “Strengthening municipal-wide WASH governance for social change in Saptari District (NPL1060)” of Madesh Province. WASH Governance Project is a 3 years project funded by VCA/BMZ and supported by Welthungerhilfe (WHH). This program started in December 2019 and ended in December 2022 (Probability of Extension). We invite applications from interested and qualified Nepali citizens for the following positions. These positions are based in Saptari district with frequently field visit in 3 Palikas of Project Area namely Dakneshwari Municipality, Bishnupur and Rajgadh Rural Municipality.
1. WASH Officers – 1 position.
S/he will lead the planning, implementation and monitoring of project activities related to drinking water supply, total sanitation, WASH in institutions, nutrition and WASH governance at least one working palika of Saptari district and ensure the overall achievement of project outcomes. Under the direct supervision of Project Coordinator, S/he is responsible for effective and efficient implementation of project activities, supervision and coaching of project staffs and coordinating with municipal authorities, stakeholders, and Welthungerhilfe field team. Qualification and Experiences:
Bachelors’s degree in Public health, Nursing, Environmental Science, Engineering, Development studies or any other discipline equivalent and having experience of at least 4 years or more in WASH specially in Terai region of Nepal and also having experience in project planning, implementation, and management along with advance computer skills and fluent in speaking & report writing skill in English, Nepali and local languages. Having valid two-wheeler driving license and able to ride two wheelers in rural environment.
