Mechi Eye Hospital, a not for profit tertiary eye hospital with 220 beds delivering community eye health care services under Mechi Eye Hospital Sangh and being supported by Eyecare Foundation, the Netherlands since its inception on 15th November 1996 is looking for potential and deserving candidates for the following positions.

Position: Pediatric Ophthalmologist and Strabismologist

Position: Ophthalmologist

Position: Ophthalmologist – Anterior Segment training

Number of Vacancies: 2 (Two)

Position: Vitreo retina training ophthalmologist (Medical Retina – 2 / Surgical Retina – 2)

Number of Vacancies: 4 (Four)

Position: Glaucoma Consultant

Number of Vacancies: 1 (One)

Position: Vitreo retina consultant

Number of Vacancies: 1 (One)

Eligibility Criteria:

For all positions candidate must have MD/MS (Master in surgery or Medicine) in Ophthalmology from recognized University/ Institute and posses Nepal Medical Council Specialty Registration Certificate.

Additional requirement for

– Position – 1 – Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmologist and strabismology from recognized Institute.

– Position – ½ / and 5 At least two years surgical experience preferably in high volume set up along with proficiency in phaco surgery.

– Position – 3 Willing to undergo training in anterior segment for two years.

– Position – 4 Willing to undergo training in Vitreo retina training (6 month for Medical retina and one two years for surgical retina).

– Position – 5 Fellowship in Glaucoma from recognized institute.

– Position – 6 Fellowship in VR from recognized institute.
