The focus of its programs continues to been on abolition of child labor, prevention of human trafficking, promotion of girl child education and empowerment of women through various innovative strategies working closely with the communities they live in.

Under its Anti-human Trafficking, Cross border project and children home with particular focus on internal trafficking, cross-border trafficking & child protection respectively, OVN invites applications for the following positions below from interested and eligible female candidates and is seeking individuals with commitment for children and women, high drive for results, integrity, demonstrable teamwork, good self-awareness and self-regulation for its short term temporary safe and transit residential home:

Position: Safe Home In charge (Female)

Rs 26,000 (Monthly Gross Salary)

Locations: Kathmandu (one full time residential staff)

Qualification

• Bachelors with minimum 1 years’ experience in counselling/social work with having a recognized certification in psycho-social counselling training

OR
• +2 with higher academic course on psycho-social counselling with minimum 1 years’ experience in counselling/social work.
• Minimum of two years direct experience of direct service provision with vulnerable and or exploited children youth, particularly those who have been victimized by commercial sexual exploitation.
• Knowledge of child and youth participation methodologies and experience of coordinating youth activities.
• Experience of working in safe home is highly desirable.
• Efficiency in using word, excel, PPT together with other MS packages and internet.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali.
• Experience providing written reports and documentation of project activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe home in charge will assume responsibility for the safety and well-being of all of the youths, and even children, participating as beneficiaries in the project and are under the care and protection of the organization and staying at the residential home. This includes child and youth protection concerns, providing supportive counselling as needed, and assuring logistical arrangements are in order so as not to compromise any aspect of the project experience for children and youth involved. The person will also be responsible for working with the core project team and technical staff and seek support from the line manager to execute the safe home activities including conducting in-house trainings and other creative activities.

• The position holders initiates to create and provides safe youth and women friendly environment and functions also as facilitator, animator, care giver and guider as a protector and ensuring compliance with OVN rules and regulations. The post holder also builds harmonious and constructive relation between beneficiaries, their family and stakeholders and community people including women, children and youth by observing group dynamics and facilitate accordingly.


Position: Psycho-social Counselor (Female)

Rs 30,000 (Monthly Gross Salary)

Locations: Bhairahawa

Qualification

• Bachelors with minimum 2 years’ experience in counselling/social work with having a recognized certification in psycho-social counselling training

OR
• +2 with higher academic course on psycho-social counselling with minimum 3 years of experience in counseling/social work.
• Minimum of two years direct experience of direct service provision to survivors of trafficking (highly preferred) or with sexually exploited, abused and survivors of gender-based violence.
• Knowledge of child and youth participation methodologies and experience of coordinating youth activities.
• Efficiency in using word, excel, PPT together with other MS packages and internet.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali.
• Experience providing written reports and documentation of project activities.

Position: Admin Finance Assistant

Gross Salary Rs 15,000.00

Locations: Kaski, Hemja (nonresidential staff)

Qualification:

Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedure, Familiarity with accounting software, Organizational and time-management skills, Intermediate in Finance, Accounting or Economics

Key Responsibilities

Take lead in making arrangement to repair and maintenance of office building, office vehicles and other office equipment in consultation with the Supervisor, Assist in copying, forwarding information by receiving and distributing communications, Assist in maintaining supplies by checking the stock to update inventory levels, verifying receipts, stocking items, delivering supplies as and when required, Update Leave Record, Update Fix Assets, Support to Admin Finance Officer as per needed, Assist to fax, scan and copy documents, Assist in coordination of logistics activities for visitors


Position: Support staff Cum Security (Female)

Gross Salary Rs 19,000.00

Locations: Kathmandu (one full time residential staff)

Qualification:

• Literate (able to read and write in Nepali).
• Proven working experience as a support staff looking after cleanliness and cleaning work.
• Knowledge of cleaning.
• Integrity.
• Attention to details.
• Problem-solving.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Having knowledge of health and safety principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Notify supervisor of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Make adjustments and minor repairs
• Stock and maintain supply
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Ensure safety and security of the residents of shelter home, staff, and the property around the facility of the shelter home.
