The Role

Technical Coordinator- Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience is responsible for facilitating the project, “Strengthening Community Preparedness, Rapid Response and Recovery in Nepal” in Kanchanpur and Dadeldhura districts. As a technical coordinator, the post holder will be overall responsible for project management and providing technical support to the project, financial and budget management, project administration, Monitoring Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL), partnership management and all matters relating to the project implementation in Nepal. This position is also responsible for coordination and relation building with stakeholders of the project and enhancing technical and managerial capacities of the partner NGOs for disaster risk reduction and resilience.

What we are looking for

Technical Coordinator- Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience will require to be exceptional, dedicated, and highly motivated professional, with a strong commitment to Oxfam’s values and beliefs with the following qualification and competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in disaster risk reduction, climate change, natural resource management, social sciences or development studies. Master’s degree in relevant field is desirable.
  •  Hands on programme management experience and technical knowledge with at least 5 years’ experience (strategy development, project cycle management, HR and Financial Management, online MIS, and the use of excel) in disaster management and climate change
  •  Gender, feminist and rights-based programming.
  •  Proven track record in achieving objectives
