Position: Project Officer: Disaster Risk Reduction-Flood Resilience Program

About the role

We are looking for a competent Project Officer to provide leadership and support to strengthen the Flood Resilience Measurement for Communities (FRMC) research, FRMC research sharing, knowledge planning and delivery of the Project. The role will provide leadership and support to our field team, ZFRA Nepal Alliance collaborating partner and local project partners in the overall handling of the FRMC tool and result sharing to inform community action plans, municipal plans and provincial government’s plans that prioritize flood resilience activities. The role will ensure researches, learnings and knowledge of the project is coordinated, systematically captured and disseminated to meet the programme objectives.

About you

You are experienced and have strong communication skills. You have a proven experience of working with communities enhancing participatory process and also experience of working with governments at sub national level. You have a knowledge of the development interface and practitioner audience and ability to share ideas and motivate people for sharing their knowledge. You are experienced in FRMC tool application or similar tools to disaster risk reduction/flood resilience. You are able to work remotely and independently with an understanding of working in a multi-sited environment.
