Rural Community Development Centre (RCDC-Nepal), Besishahar, Lamjung was established for advocacy initiatives in social justice, human rights and governance. Aiming at well being of children, happiness of women and promoting governance culture, RCDC-Nepal has been managing development initiatives in Lamjung and its neighboring district
RCDC-Nepal, in partnership with CRS, Nepal, is going to implement the Lamjung Earthquake Recovery Project (LERP) in Lamjung district. Job Specification
Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree Preferable
Experience Required: More than 3 years in similar position
Professional Skill Required:
- Project monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning experience preferably with I/NGOs With expertise in database, MS Office and other data analysis programming like SPSS
- Competent in development and administering data collection, management, and presentation tools, use KOBO and other relevant data collection mobile applications
- Proficient in report writing and documentation
- Good Interpersonal and Communication skills
Period of Employment: 1 year and extendable

Duty Station: Lamjung Besishahar Office (with frequent field visit; up to30%)
Other Specification
- Bachelor in Statistics, BSW, DRR, Economics, Management, Development, social sciences or similar discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the similar position preferably in reconstruction or development projects
Professional skills required:
- Indicators selection, target setting, reporting, database management, and developing M&E and performance monitoring plans
- Knowledge of the major M&E methodologies and data collection, analysis and presentation techniques and tools
- Experience in planning and managing surveys, developing and refining data collection tools and with data quality assessments and oversight
- Report writing, writing, and oral communication both in English and Nepali language
- Facilitation, knowledge management, and promotion among the wider range of population
- Computer proficiency including data collection mobile apps and data analysis software/programming
- Facilitation, Interpersonal, coordination and communication skills.
Other Specializations:
- Knowledge and skills of GESI mainstreaming through MEAL system
- Experience of MEAL officer in reconstruction project will be an asset
Job Description
Overall Responsibilities:
- Follow and ensure MEAL plan and policy of CRS Nepal and RCDC, Nepal in the context of the project.
- Facilitate the project team in target setting, reporting, data base management,and developing MEAL plan and its effective implementation
- Develop data collection, analysis and presentation techniques and tools, and administering as per plan.
- Facilitate and support in planning and conducting surveys, monitoring, progress review and internal evaluation of the project.
- Facilitate to use ICT for virtual/distance meeting, reporting and learning sharing
- Prepare data report and support to the Project Coordinator, Technical Lead and other Team member for developing and finalizing reports and required documentation
Major Roles and Responsibilities
- Facilitate to implement RCDC, Nepal’s and CRS Nepal’s MEAL policy in the project.
- Develop/ adopt an integrated database of overall project and a specific sections -program, Admin/HR and Finance.
- Ensure accountability through regular data updates, data integrity and working in collaboration with the project team.
- Support to the Project Coordinator, Technical Lead and remaining project staffs for collecting relevant and appropriated at a needed for the reporting and knowledge management purpose.
- Provide suggestions to the RCDC’s management and project team based the data and evidences for necessary actions to take for reducing gaps,addressing issues and ensuring ultimate results of the project.
- Lead data/ information collection from different sources and then processing, analysis, prepare data report and provide to the team members as relevancy
- Review upgrade existing data collection tools and techniques, make changes if needed
- Facilitate orientations to the project team and organization’s other staffs for enchanting their capacity in PME,Data management and dissemination and improving MEAL system
- Plan and facilitate review, learning-sharing and feedback session
- Carry out data quality assessments/ audits regularly for MEAL data based on agreed indicators
- Support to develop and finalize plan and report in monthly, quarter, biannual and final reports for internal purpose and submitting to the CRS Nepal
- Ensure that cross cutting issues such as participation, gender, age and disability are effectively addressed/ mainstreamed in all project implementations as part of ensuring accountability
- Assist to the Admin and HR Officer in the development of TOR for external surveys and consultant procurement
- Coordinate the review all survey reports prepared to ensure quality and accurate reporting
- Maintain confidentiality of the data achieved.
- Do any task assigned by the supervisor
