Rural Development Centre (RDC) Nepal is a non-political and non-profitable organization established in June 2002 in Rautahat District of Nepal. Since then, RDC is heavily engaged in humanitarian assistance, community development, conservation of natural resources, and environmental protection mainly in the Terai region of Nepal through the dozens of humanitarian and long-term development projects.

In partnership with Islamic Relief Nepal, RDC Nepal is implementing Gender Based Violence and Child Protection projects in different municipalities of Rautahat district. RDC Nepal is seeking qualified, dynamic and motivated Nepali citizens on following positions for successful implementation of the project.

Position: Project Coordinator

Number of Vacancies: 1

Qualification: Master’s Degree in social science, development studies, gender studies, public health or relevant discipline

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • At least 2 years of working experience in field of GBV (Master’s degree holders) or at least 4 years of working experience in field of GBV (bachelor’s degree holders in relevant discipline)in similar position
  • Experience in developing, conducting training, workshops, and community mobilization interventions.
  • Experience of working with district level stakeholders on child protection.
  • Demonstrated ability of leadership.
  • Strong computer literacy and knowledge of database and spreadsheet
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, negotiation and communication skill
  • Fluency in Nepali and English communication and presentation skill (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadline.
  • Sensitive and responsive to Gender, Age diversity and Social Inclusion
  • Good analytical skills and innovative
  • Two-wheeler driving license (preferred)

Position: Psycho-social counselor

Number of Vacancies: 2

Qualification: Bachelor in Degree in Psychosocial, Counseling, or relevant discipline

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Counselling, Psychology or a higher diploma in Counselling with minimum one-year experience on providing counselling.
  • Experience of individual and family counselling under close supervision of expert psychologists.
  • Work experience in I/NGO and specifically in the child protection and GBV sector.
  • Abilities to understand client’s needs, feelings and emotions. Maintain professional ethical values during service delivery.
  • A good interpersonal relationship with beneficiaries and all the team members
  • Problem solving, active learning, persuading and decision-making skills.
  • Fluency in written and verbal communication in in English and Nepali and local language (Bajika/Maithili).
  • Knowledge and experience using MS-Office packages and statistical packages, email and internet.
  • Two-wheelers with driving license.

Position: Livelihood Officer

Number of Vacancies: 1

Qualification: A minimum of bachelor’s degree in agricultural science or relevant discipline from recognized University

Key Skills and Knowledge:

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in donor funded projects and coordinating with district and municipal level government and non-government stakeholders.
• Essential Skills and Expertise in business development
• Proficient in Nepali and English languages. Proficiency in local languages of the project areas will be an added advantage.
• Good computer skills in MS Office Package, Power Point Presentation, email, internet etc.
• Proficient in report writing and good communication skills desired.
• Experience and skills in facilitating trainings, meetings and orientations for the rural farmers.
• Good knowledge and experience in addressing gender and social inclusion.

• Fluency in Nepali and English communication and presentation skill (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadline.
