JOB OPPORTUNITY
Admin and Store Officer (ASO) for its Headquarters in Kathmandu.
Duration of Assignment: One year with possible extension
Duty Station: Headquarters in Kathmandu with occasionally field visits in the program municipalities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist to carry out market research on the procurement of office goods, equipment, stationery, materials, and others required for projects, and update the suppliers’/service providers’ roasters annually.
- Implement FIFO method for inventory management in the ware-house and ensure adequate safety and security requirements are in place in the organization.
- Prepare list of Assets and check the status of assets (working condition, location) regularly.
- Prepare and process for settlement of office utility expenses such as water, electricity, kitchen supplies, and office supplies and so on.
- Assist in day to day logistic and administrative duties related to travel, accommodations, fleet management, etc.
- Ensure safety and security of the office assets and inventories and timely prepare and keep up to date the inventory records and report to the authorities.
- Take other tasks as asked by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience for Bachelor and 3 years for Master
- Knowledge and practical skills on administrative and logistics functions.
- Strong knowledge and practical skills on different forms and formats, use in procurement system. Experience on Tally Software preferred.
- Knowledge on Tax and VAT requirements and accounting system.
- Demonstrable written and spoken skills in the Nepali language. Good English written and spoken skills are desirable.
- Strong practical knowledge of MS Word, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Email/Internet.
- Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving license.
- Good organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
