Psychosocial Counselor – 1
Minimum qualification: Certificate level/10+2 (intermediate) or equivalent graduate with 6 months of training in psychosocial counselling
Required training and skill: 1 year of work experience as Psychosocial Counselor and proficient in computer. Communicating skill and valid driving license holder
Main responsibility and work:
- Should be able to work as psychosocial counselor in Mallarani gaunpalika of pyuthan district.
- The counselor will be required to undertake the following tasks under the supervision of the Programme Coordinator and Shelter Coordinator
- Conduct individual and group counselling with the women and girls
- Maintain counselling reports of each woman and girls.
- Evaluate the women for referrals for trainings, other organizations or reintegration with their families.
- Organize case meetings when required.
- Organize awareness classes such as life skills, anger/stress management etc.
- Conduct staff, family and peer counselling when needed.
- Conduct family visit as and when required to provide counselling to parents and guardian.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and an annual report and submit it to the Program Coordinator.
- Encourage good behavior among the women.
- Act as a good communication who talks to the women and listen to their problems and win their confidence
- Should not abuse and use bad language.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times and not give out information without prior permission of the Shelter Coordinator.
- Should be available to attend trainings whenever required.
- Should be able to work beyond duty hours and be flexible to help the organization in any other work required in case of emergencies.
Preference: Work experience in related field, candidates from dalit, janajati, muslim, other backward class and female.
Working location: Alpakalin Aawash Griha situated at Mallarai Gaunpalika, Pyuthan District
