SOSEC Nepal is working by giving high priority and sensitivity on the right of women and children under the principle of integrated development approach to obtain right of women, children, raute community and backwarded communities in Dailekh, Kalikot and Surkhet districts of Karnali Province and Achham district of Sudurpaschim Province of Nepal with the coordination and collaboration with different development partner organizations. The organization is also adopting zero tolerance policy on violence against women & children and corruption.

SOSEC Nepal has been implementing Sahayatra II Project collaborating with Save the Children. For this, we seek application from competent and self-motivated Nepali citizen for the following position. The position is based in Dailekh (Gurans Rural Municipality).

Field Officer (Female With in Dailekh District Only)

Roles and Responsibilities of the Field Officer

  •  Conduct and facilitate field activities based on the DIP of the Sahayatra II Project under the rules and regulations of the organization and set strategies
  • Support to plan, implement, supervision and monitoring of project at ward level
  •  Integrate project components by ensuring Education, Child Right Governance and Child protection activities in the implementation process.
  • Coordinate with government agencies such as School Management Committees, Parent Teachers Associations, Ward Education Committee, Child Clubs/ Networks, Ward Child Right Committee, wards for project implementation at community levels through social mobilization
  • Collect data (IEMIS, out of school children, CIJ, Children with Disability, COBO entry and update total reach, Scholarship support, Case follow up children, CRM, Child marriage and result indicator etc.) and ensure the quality data in time and report in monthly basis to the supervisors
  • Prepare monthly report and event reports in time
  • Use of monitoring tools at least 2 in a month and report to the supervisors
  • Identify the marginalized children and community (Dalit, janajati, poor family)
  •  Coordinate and initiate the functional cooperation with Save the Children’s other project in the ward levels in a regular basis.
  • Collected case stories, best practices at least 2 per month
  •  Support to initiate corrective actions based on the feedback from MEAL Coordinator at ward levels and response MEAL and monitoring findings and feedbacks in time.
  • Ensure child friendly environment and child safeguarding policy in ward level
  •  Support to document and reporting Coordinator providing the information for the reports, case stories, best practices
  • Support the Joint monitoring team, Board Monitoring and others visitors team at ward level
  •  Timely distribution of the goods provided to the stakeholders in time and also collect the bharpai in time and submit to the office
  •  Follow up the proper use of the provided goods, materials in classroom or outside classroom
  • Academic Qualification and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  •  At least two years working of experience in social mobilization in field level
  • Good understanding of working with development partners, government and multi-cultural environment with the local context and sensitivities.
  • Basic computer skill
  • Good communication skills, written and oral
