The Job Overview
We are seeking a back-end developers to join our various technology teams. A backend developer works on developing our web based applications focusing on databases, back-end logic, application programming interface (APIs), architecture, and servers. Qualified candidates will use his or her understanding of programming languages and tools to analyze current codes and industry developments, formulate more efficient processes, solve problems, and create a more seamless experience for users.
This job is suitable for the candidates interested in the Back-end Developer role with experience and interest in any of the following languages: Java, .Net and Php, and wanting to build their strong career in the latest technology.
Responsibilities
Below are some of the responsibilities a back-end developer is expected to assume:
- Design, develop and/or re-engineer complex application components, and integrate software packages, programs, and reusable objects
- Coordinating the workflow between the graphic designer, UI/UX Designer, front-end coder, and backend coder.
- Collaborate and communicate with customers and colleagues in the projects to ensure the delivery of quality solutions
- Take part in designing backend applications based on DevOps principles
- Design and develop APIs and Microservices integrating with external systems or other data sources.
- Being up to date with new Technologie.
- Attending daily Scrum/standup, and completing given tasks on time.
- Build web applications with web development best practices
- Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations
- To take part in software and architectural development activities
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code
- Prepare and produce releases of software components
- Recommend changes to improve existing Java application processes
- Work in an Agile development process
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets
Below are some/all qualifications expected of a back-end developer:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue
- Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and Bootstrap
- Familiarity with CSS preprocessors such as Sass, Less, or Stylus
- Java, J2EE Framework, RESTful web services pattern, Spring Framework, JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, AngularJS, and EmberJS), SQL and NoSQL databases
- Must have passion for development and ability to learn latest technologies
- Excellent understanding of object-oriented design concepts and software development processes and methods.
- Good knowledge of architecture, design and business processes
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Possess strong troubleshooting, code optimization and refactoring skills
