The Job Overview
We are seeking a front-end web developer to join our team. As a front-end developer, you will be responsible for the user interface of our website. Qualified candidates will be expected to have a working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript and a basic understanding of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design.
This job is suitable for the candidates interested in the Front-end Developer role, and wanting to build their strong career in the latest technology.
Responsibilities
Below are some of the responsibilities a front-end developer is expected to assume:
- Design, develop and/or re-engineer complex application components, and integrate software packages, programs, and reusable objects
- Coordinating the workflow between the graphic designer, UI/UX Designer, front-end coder, and backend coder.
- Work effectively in collaboration with other team members, partners, and other support functions when required
- Being up to date with new technologies of frontends and others.
- Attending daily Scrum/standup, and completing given tasks on time.
- Build web applications with web development best practices
- Transform app designs into front-end code with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Work with back-end developers to integrate UI components with APIs and databases
- Assist in identifying and communicating frontend best practices to the team, enhancing efficiency and performance across the department.
- Refactor, optimize and fix existing codebase for maintenance and support.
- Maintain required documentation of own’s work.
- Assist senior members in exploring and defining best frontend practices to improve the quality, reliability, and performance of the design and development processes and team.
- Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets
Below are some/all qualifications expected of a front-end developer:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 year of experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue
- Experience with JavaScript, LESS, SASS, jQuery and Bootstrap
- Working knowledge of SEO principles
