Position: Municipal Leads for School and Community
Fixed Term Contract from May 1, 2021 – July 2022 (Probable Extension)
Reports to: Associate Director of school and community impact
About Teach For Nepal:
Teach For Nepal currently has 134 outstanding university graduates as Fellows teaching in public and government schools in seven districts. By our eight year of engagement in the community we have impacted almost 30,000 plus children.
Job Purpose:
Municipal leads for school and community shall continuously invest in Fellows to create sustainable impact in the classroom and community.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Support: (50%)
- Assist and support fellows to develop better classroom strategies to achieve academic, non-academic goals by organizing training, learning circles and individual support plans.
- Implement transformational vision of impact for students and Fellows develop corresponding definitions, goals and rubrics to measure impact.
- Plan and execute Fellow training and professional development programs in local level to the highest quality in order to achieve transformational impact
- Coach and develop Fellows to ensure their individual learning and growth.
Team Management : (30%)
- Manage a team of approximately 15-20 Fellows in a Cluster.
- Build a strong team culture in the cluster to ensure that the Fellows support each other and help
to sustain in the community. - Conduct activities in a cluster level to achieve vision and academic and non-academic goals for
impact - Coordinate and support the Training team in Fellows’ learning and growth.
Stakeholders Engagement (20%)
- Build lasting partnerships with key leaders, Principals , teachers and organizations in the local
level gain support and resources for Fellow support and development efforts. - Creating strong networks in the community for building planning and exploring collaboration
opportunities.

Competencies
- Demonstrates deep commitment and understanding of TFN’s mission and Theory of Change,
- Ability to creatively solve problems, mediate conflicts, negotiate and communicate assertively in Nepali and English,
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)-who can speak compellingly about our organization, mission and goals and has a mature presence
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Commitment to excellence and accuracy, with an ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills and remain flexible in order to accommodate multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong work ethics
- Excellent communication, both in English and Nepali language ( oral and written )

Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree preferably in Management/ Leadership, Education, STEM, Development Studies or any other relevant area
- Minimum 3 years of working experience, preferably in the development/management sector
- Experience in community
- Experience in projects and events
- Experience in creating and sustaining partnership
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office and database applications (preferably Salesforce)
