The Leprosy Mission International (TLMI) Nepal is a UK based international non-government organization active in 34 countries. TLMI Nepal has been working in partnership with TLM Nepal and the Government of Nepal to provide specialist tertiary care and technical support for leprosy control programs. It also undertakes internationally recognized research into leprosy and implements disability inclusive community development programs through strategic partnership. TLMI Nepal mainly focuses in working with and for people affected by leprosy and is looking for potential candidates in volunteer role for its Mycobacterial Research Laboratories to fill out the vacancy:
Position: Director of Research and Laboratories

Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Microbiology with research in leprosy molecular and peripheral neuropathology. Post-doctoral research in leprosy immunological complications.
- With minimum of 10 years’ experience in laboratory-, clinical- and community-based research studies related to leprosy.
- 5 International paper publication on leprosy research.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing implementation of the objectives of the Mycobacterial Research Laboratories Project under TLMN.
- Contribute as a globall leprosy expert both in laboratory and endemic field research.
- Provides technical support for TLMN staffs towards internal, national and international project development.
