Summary:
The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu, Nepal is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Consular Section Cashier. This vacancy is open to all interested applicants.

The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties
As Consular Section Cashier, the incumbent performs cashiering works in conjunction with a wide variety of consular services. The incumbent is responsible for receipt, examination, daily deposit of and accountability for U.S. and Nepalese currency and cash instruments submitted in connection with payment for Consular services rendered. The incumbent prepares cash reports and reconciles off-site MRV fee collections on a periodic basis. When not cashiering, the incumbent assists with other functions within the consular section.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Two years of office clerical work involving public contact is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Good working knowledge of general principles of accounting, financial record keeping, filing, and office procedures is required. Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel and Outlook is required.

Education Requirements: Completion of Higher Secondary School is required.

Evaluations: These may be tested (Language, Skills and Abilities)

LANGUAGE: Fluent speaking/reading/writing English is required. Fluent speaking/reading/writing Nepali is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good interpersonal skills are required. The ability to work under high customer servicing environment is required.

COVID-19 Requirements for Eligible Family Members
