Position: PROJECT OFFICER
NEPAL URBAN RESILIENCE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
JOB DESCRIPTION
– Coordinate and communicate with local governments, organize meetings and consultation workshops at the municipal level.
– Participate in regular meetings at both municipal and ward level for smooth execution of project activities.
– Recruit and train, and remotely schedule, coordinate and ensure quality control of field surveyor deployment across 9 municipalities, and maintain documentation on fieldwork.
– Coordinate with the technical team in Kathmandu, generate report updates on project activities and ensure effective implementation of project field activities.
– Collect and compile relevant datasets from different sources and share datasets to the GIS Mapping and Data Analysis Team as per the instructions from senior experts.
– Organize and coordinate logistics and travel for field travel, including Kathmandu-based experts for municipality workshops.
– Compile reports (field visit reports, project update reports, data assessment and analysis reports) and other relevant documents from thematic experts and assist the project team in the preparation of final reports.
– Ensure excellence and timelines in project implementation in terms of impact, reporting, and documentation of lessons learnt.
– This is a short-term role and lump sum contract, based on deliverables over a six-month period and expected to be full-time for most of the project.
