Job Description:
Under the direct supervision of Field Programme Lead – West ,the Programme Officer (Integrated Programme) will facilitate the effective implementation of Technical Programme namely Inclusive and Quality Education (IQE) and Protection and Community Engagement and Sponsorship Programme (PCESP). The Programme Officer (Integrated Programme) based in Dailekh Satellite Office will manage portfolio of WVI Nepal’s Field Office in compliance with WVI Nepal’s sectoral and quality standards, Government’s policies and industry norms. The role will be responsible for managing and monitoring the performance of partner NGOs, ensuring that partner NGOs have access to appropriate technical and functional support, and managing relationships with sectoral key stakeholders including Local Governments.
This position expects to have agile leadership to manage multiple priorities, adapting to change and incorporate learning in the programme and managerial scope. The incumbent is expected to maintain good coordination and collaboration with internal and relevant external stakeholders to manage programme effectively. Along with this, there should be a strong focus on programme sustainability efforts as envisioned by the given projects and programme.
Specific regular tasks delivered by this position will include:
- Monitor performance of partner NGOs and implementation of Technical Programmes (TP) for Inclusive and Quality Education (IQE), Protection and Community Engagement and Sponsorship Programme and other projects to ensure that the Technical Projects and other projects are delivered on scope, on time and on budget as per the agreements
- Facilitate technical support for partner NGOs to ensure adequate technical quality in the delivery of Technical Programmes and projects, meeting minimum standards and targets
- Identify, assess, and communicate risks associated with the implementation of Technical Programmes and projects, and coordinate the development of mitigation measures with partner NGOs
- When supervising others, manage staff to enable their optimum performance
- Coordinate with partner NGOs and WVI Nepal’s MEALS Team to ensure appropriate analysis and programme results, including sharing of results and continuous improvements of programme design and implementation
- In coordination with the Field Operations Manager, build external relationships and engagement with government line agencies, other INGOs/NGOs, research institutions and the private sector at local, district and provincial levels in alignment with WVI Nepal’s national strategy/plan for engagement in the education sector
- Coordinate organizational processes with which WVIN’s TPs and projects have to be engaged including but not limited to annual planning and budgeting process and audit
Required Professional Experience
- 3- 5 years of working experience in the education and child rights governance sector
- Should have excellent training facilitation skills
- Proven project management and financial management experience
- Diverse team management to yield quality results within the stipulated time period
- Presentation skills to highlight the areas of success and failures with qualitative and quantitative data
Required Education, training, license, registration and certification
Bachelor-level university degree in a relevant field of study, such as Education, Social Science, human and child rights governance, management etc

- Demonstrated collaboration & team building skills
- Understand advocacy theory, process and practice.
- Proven ability to write and produce publications
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office computer programs including

- Strong negotiation, interpersonal skills, organizational, administrative and facilitation skills
- Must be able to interact with diverse groups
