Group of Helping Hands (SAHAS) Nepal is a non-profit making non-governmental-organization founded in 1996 since then engaging social mobilization, grassroots organisation/Community-Based Network Organisation (CBNO) formation and enhancing their capacity through partnership, and implementing diverse programme and projects in the sectors of sustainable agriculture and food security, climate change, and education  in 21 districts of Nepal.

SAHAS Nepal is looking the potential young and energetic candidates who are committed to work with excluded segment of society for the following positions of various projects:

1. Position: Education Project Officers

Project and District: Promoting Inclusive and Quality Education in Public Schools Project in Bajura and Ramechhap Districts

Required number: 2

Summery of Job: The Education Project Officer is responsible for planning, implementation, monitoring of the project and reporting to Livelihood Manager/Project Coordinator. She/he will coordinate with Local Government (Rural/Municipality), School Management Committee, Parents and Teachers Association; students to ensure for inclusive educational programmes meet the standards and quality of performance. And also organise meeting, training, and seminar for local stakeholders and provide technical backstopping on Education and Livelihood sectors.

Qualification / Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant social science with minimum 2 years experiences in inclusive Education, planning, implementing, monitoring and coordinating with Local Government.

2. Position: Project Officer

Project and District  Marginalize no More Project in Sapttari District

Required number: 1

Summary of Job: The Project Officer is responsible for planning, implementation, monitoring of the project and reporting to Project Coordinator. She/he will supervise the project staffs on project requirement; implementation guideline, tools and procedure. And work closely in coordination with Local Government (Rural/Municipality), with focus groups, committees and consortium organisations’ teams.

Academic qualification/experiences:

Bachelor degree in Agriculture, Social work and Development studies with at least 2 years experience in relevant field. Fluent in Maithali and working with the marginalized adolescent girls and vulnerable communities must be and value added. And fluent Nepali and English language.

3. Position: Gender Officer

Project and District: Local Initiative for Food Security Transformation (LIFT Project) and

Kalikot, Mugu, Bajura, Lalitpur, Udayapur and Okhaldhunga but assign in Province 6.

Required number: 1

Summery of Job: The Gender Officer is responsible for integrating and mainstreaming and pro-active to contribute in the organisation and also for the project on planning, implementation, monitoring of gender related activities and reporting to Project Coordinator. She/he will provide technical support on gender related topics to the Project staffs and also collect gender related cases and submit to local authority. She/he will closely work with LIFT Project Officers, Technical Coordinator and Livelihood Manager.

Academic qualification/experiences: Bachelor degree in Gender Studies, Rural Sociology and Social Work and Development studies with at least 2 years experiences in relevant field with fluent in Nepali and English languages. She/he will enjoy travelling rural areas and empowering women and vulnerable communities must be value-added.

4. Position: Senior Partnership Facilitator and Partnership Facilitator

Project and District: Local Initiative for Food Security Transformation Project in South Lalitpur District and Enhancing Livelihood through Local Effort Project in Tanahun District

Required number: 2

Summery of Job: The Senior Partnership Facilitator and Partnership Facilitator are responsible to assist Local Partner, Community-Based Network Organisations in planning, implementation, monitoring of the project and reporting to CBNO Capacity Building Manager and Project Coordinator. She/he will assist the partner in networking and linkage with Local Government and development actors for collaboration and access to resources.

Academic qualification/experiences: Intermediate level or 10+ 2 in Development studies and Rural Sociology and Social Work with at least 2 years experiences in social mobilization, group formation, capacity building for group, local organisation and institution. She/he will enjoy travelling rural areas and enhancing capacity of grassroots organisation must be and value added.
