PHASE Nepal is a not for profit NGO established in 2006 by a group of development professionals dedicated to supporting poor communities in remote areas of Nepal. For the last 12 years PHASE Nepal has been implementing Health, Education and Livelihoods improvement programmes in Humla, Bajura, Mugu, Gorkha and Sindhupalchok districts. Currently, PHASE Nepal’s projects health, education, livelihoods and reconstruction are funded by number of institutional and individual donors from different countries. PHASE has over 140 staff working for different projects. PHASE Nepal is currently in need of the following staff member:
Civil Engineer (School Construction) – 1
Duty Station: Field Based ( Sindhupalchok)
Qualification and Experience: The candidate should have completed at least Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering with minimum 1 year of experience (after their Bachelor’s Degree) preferably in School construction. Must have excellent English and Nepali language and IT skills.
Responsibilities: The Civil Engineer will be responsible for carrying out detailed surveys, designs, cost estimates and preparing agreement with local stakeholders where necessary, providing technical input for effective implementation of construction of the school buildings with contemporary rules in relation to the design and construction of school buildings and supervising the construction activities. S/he will support the program manager in planning, monitoring and reporting.
Basic Salary and Benefits: NRS (30,000 – 35,000) per month (basic salary) plus 10% provident fund after three months of probation period, festival bonus on pro-rata basis plus medical facility and insurance.
