Role overview
Lead the implementation of the project and to be the lead reference point within VSO Nepal programme’s project (GPeVAC funded) in providing information on all programmatic matters including volunteer, partners, finance and beneficiaries and administer the GPeVAC funded project with the Implementing Partners through quality implementation of activities undertaken vis-à-vis plans, fund flow management, maintaining monitoring sheet, and ensuring compliance of the programme area financial contractual matters
Skills, qualifications and experience
Project Management
Excellent understanding of project cycle management tools and experience of organizational assessment, planning and review tools and processes.
Programme Development and Delivery
Knowledge of issues in violence against children programming and delivery in Nepal. Proven experience of working on the area of the violence against children.
Cross-Cultural Working
Direct and substantial experience of working cross-culturally and able to communicate to a range of audiences and promote sharing and learning between cultures
Communication
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
People Management & Supervision
People management experience, and proven ability to promote self-awareness, learning and development among individuals. Matrix management experience preferred.
Planning and Organising
Able to develop clear and realistic plans to deliver agreed objectives within deadlines, involving key individuals in the planning process.
Bachelors’ degree plus equivalent professional experience in subjects relevant to community development (i.e., international development, human resources, social work, public policy, communications, etc.)IT (MS office) proficiency.
Able to travel, including work away from the home base for up to 25% of time, both within the country and occasionally internationally and some weekend and evening work.
Adaptability and Flexibility to adapt to new situations, with a positive attitude to working in an international organisation.
Volunteering for Development
Understanding and valuing the role of volunteering for development. Familiarity with diverse models of volunteer engagement and the volunteer journey – proven ability to leverage volunteer engagements to deliver social change outcomes. Personal experience of volunteering for development is a significant plus.
