Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC), established in 1989 with the aim of protecting and promoting human rights and social justice in Nepal, requires application for below positions for its various projects. Eligible and interested candidates are requested to apply as per the announcement.

Position: Project Coordinator (Kathmandu Based)

Number: 1 

Qualification and Experience: Masters Degree or equivalent in Social Science, Law, Political Science, Human Rights with minimum three years’ experience in project management. The main purpose of this position is to manage and guide the overall activities related to the project in central level, province level and Birendranagar Municipality level. The project Coordinator will report directly to INSEC senior management and executive director at Central Office. As a team coordinator, the PC will be responsible for ensuring that the project is implemented according to the agreed work plans, timeframe, and budget to achieve the objectives outlined in the project document. The project coordinator is the key leading position having fundamental knowledge on human rights and social justice.

Position: Human Rights Officer (Kathmandu Based)

Number: 1 

Qualification: Masters Degree or equivalent in Social Science, Law, Political Science, Human Rights with minimum three year experience in human rights or civil society related project. The Human Rights Officer will report directly to project coordinator and responsible for implementation of the federal level activities and ensure that the documentation of the achievement is done properly. The Human Rights Officer must have fundamental knowledge on human rights and social justice.

Position: Human Rights Officer (Surkhet Based)

Number: 1 

Qualification: Masters Degree or equivalent in Social Science, Law, Political Science, Human Rights with minimum three year experience in human rights or civil society related project. The Human Rights Officer will report directly to project coordinator and responsible for implementation of the provincial level activities at Karnali Province and Birendranagar Municipality and ensure that the documentation of the achievement is done properly. The Human Rights Officer must have fundamental knowledge on human rights and social justice.

Position: Documentation officer (Katmandu Based)

Number: 1

Qualification: Masters Degree in English, Human Rights, Law, journalism or equivalent with minimum three years’ experience in documentation in English language. The Documentation Officer is responsible to ensure the validity and reliability of human rights violation or abuse data or cases sent by INSEC Provincial Offices. Similarly, s/he should have to demonstrate the skills and knowledge for editing the content to publish the Nepal Human Rights Year Book. Documentation officer under the supervision of INSEC’s Documentation Department Chief of central office will ensure proper documentation of data and reports in English language. S/he should be easy going and willing to work under time pressure. The Documentation Officer must have fundamental knowledge on The Constitution of Nepal, human rights, law, and social justice.

Position: Documentation officer (Pokhara Based)

Number: 1

Qualification: Master Degree in social science or equivalent with minimum three years’ experience in documentation. The Documentation Officer is responsible to ensure the validity and reliability of human rights violation or abuse data sent by INSEC District representatives. Similarly, s/he should have to demonstrate the skills and knowledge for editing the news and related documents. Documentation officer under the supervision of INSEC’s Provincial Coordinator and Documentation Department of central office will ensure proper documentation of the data and conduct the follow-up. S/he should be easy going and willing to work under time pressure. The Documentation Officer must have fundamental knowledge on human rights, law, and social justice.
