VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Development Exchange Center – Nepal (DEC – Nepal) is currently recruiting qualified and dynamic Nepalese citizen for “Civil Society: Mutual Accountability Project” funded by FHI 360.

DEC-Nepal is implementing extended project of Civil Society :Mutual Accountability Project with the funding support from FHI360 Nepal to work in Makawanpur and Dhading districts for 10 months (1st March to 31st December, 2020). Now The goal of the project is to strengthen effective civil society and media engagement, oversight for the public services delivery and public resource use. In this context, DEC-Nepal intends to recruit qualified staff for the following position:

Position: Project Director  (1 position)  based in Makawanpur with frequent travels to Dhading.

The Project director will be responsible in coordination and the focal person for the Civil Society: Mutual Accountability Project. She/he is responsible for overall program management of the organization. She/he provides strategic inputs for implementation of institutional capacity development plan, adoption of social accountability tools for promoting credible image of civil society organizations. She/he is also responsible to ensure good linkage and networking with national government and CSO stakeholders to promote role of CSOs in sustainable development. She/he responsible for leading program management team and ensure good quality staff performance of all team members by providing strategic guidance to all the staff members in the CS: MAP project.

Qualifications

The candidate should have at least Master’s degree in Social Science or relevant field with minimum of five years of experience in project management or Bachelor degree with minimum of ten years of experience. The experiences are required in the areas of program management, advocacy and government linkage, social accountability and capacity building. Experience and knowledge on mainstreaming of gender equality and social inclusion promotion will be added assets.
