Forum for Awareness and Youth Activity (FAYA Nepal) has been implementing the provincial support program in partnership with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Sudurpaschim province. The program mainly focuses on Sexual and reproductive health, gender empowerment and population issues including comprehensive sexuality education and family planning. The partnership between UNFPA and the FAYA Nepal aims to advance UNFPA mandate by strengthening coordination and collaboration with Provincial and Local Governments to achieve targeted results of UNFPA at sub-national level in SudurPashchim province and four program priority districts; Baitadi, Bajura, Bajhang and Achham Program covers Bajhang, Bajura, Achham, Baitadi and Kailali districts. FAYA invites applications from qualified Nepali citizens for the following 2 positions;
1. Position: Project Co-ordinator
Post Duration: 8 months (with possibility of extension)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support counterparts for timely implementation of activities and prepare progress report, financial and narrative reports submission on time as per their requirements;
- Organize joint monitoring field visits and ensure that the recommendations received from the field visits are incorporated by other agencies in their activities;
- Facilitates collaborative relationships with other development partners, UN agencies, experts, government counterparts ensuring timely and efficient delivery of inputs related to assigned portfolio.
- Support to develop research, monitoring and evaluation (MER) plans and facilitate in effective application of RBM tools, and regular monitoring and tracking of programme results;
- Provide overall strategic advice and guidance to stakeholders to provincial and local governments on SRHR, AY, GBV and PD.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Public Health or Social Science or equivalent degree with at least 3 years’ certified experience in Relevant fields.
Other Skills:
- Proven and certified MEAL skills, and computer skills such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Access. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the issues of gender empowerment and population will be deemed helpful.
Duty Station:
- Dhangadhi, Kailali – with at least 40% field travel in program priority districts of Sudurpaschim Province
2. Position: Project Officer
Post Duration: 8 months (with possibility of extension)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Proactively support the Program Coordinator for coordination and management of all work plan activities and in coordination of relevant UNFPA persons across sectors
- Monitoring the activities and budget, quality assurance, in close collaboration with government counterparts.
- Coordination of initiative activities, such as partnership management, communication, and event and programme management
- Preparation of draft progress reports
- Regular and timely follow up with partners for tracking reports, and deliverables
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors’s degree in Public Health or equivalent degree with at least 2 years’ certified experience in Relevant fields.

- Proven and certified MEAL skills, and computer skills such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Access. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the issues of gender empowerment and population will be deemed helpful.
Duty Station:
