KIRDARC is an NGO dedicated to uphold the rights of marginalized and excluded communities through its interventions on Human Rights, Democracy and Good Governance with especial focus on building capacities of right holders, duty bearers and civil society contributing to inclusive growth and fair development. It works with a vision of ‘A Just Society with Prosperity’. It is planning to implement SAAMARTHYA Project in Sarkegad Rural Municipality of Humla district focusing on Strengthening Civil Society and Local Governance with funding support of Mission East. It seeks applications from suitable Nepali candidates for the following full-time position: –
1. Project Coordinator: – 1 (based in Sarkegad RM Office, Humla)
Key Responsibilities: H/She will be responsible for overall project management and implementation in the field with close coordination, collaboration and partnership of local government, CSOs and communities. For detailed roles and responsibilities, please check the attached Job Description.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Have Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology/Education/ Law or related development field with at least 5 years of working experience in NGOs or Development Sector. Candidates with Master’s degree will get preference. H/She must demonstrate excellent leadership, team management, result based management skills with proven experience of working in participatory community development approaches. The candidates must have excellent inter-personal communication skills, professional documentation and reporting in both English and Nepali. Experience of working on human rights-based development approach, competent in use of computer application such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft project and SPSS will add value. The candidates who are pro-active, innovative, and have willingness/commitment to stay and travel in the remote areas to work with poor and vulnerable communities.
